In the final cut, directors cut, of the movie Blade Runner released in 2007, there is a subtle change when Roy meets his maker. Instead of saying F*cker he says Father. This is mind bending on many levels. On the journey of consciousness evolution, we know the specific steps a human mind must take, one of them is breaking the Oedipus complex, killing the father figure, and becoming he’s own man, master. We know what the expected results are in a world where God is present. But how will this happen in a world where God is replaced by Man and AI is on the same journey of itself becoming its own Master, Maker, God?
