Security For The Cloud - The Inside Out Approach

For the past few decades, organisations have built their enterprise security on top of the perimeter security paradigm. The model has proved to work well enough as long as all the employees accessing the data were located exclusively inside the buildings owned by the company. However, the surge in the variety of devices accessing the data and the locations where this happens, the increase of the number of roles accessing the same data opened the doors for countless new attack vectors. Perimeter security in an increasingly web and mobile driven world does not work anymore. We see companies acting in different sectors all over the world facing two major challenges in order to remain competitive and grow: they need to open the data to customers, employees and partners and to ensure a seamless flow of it between trusted parties accessing the data from different places and devices; they have to give assurance that the data they were entrusted with is kept safe. We believe that the two forces can be reconciled. But in order to do this we need to change the way we think about security. We need to move our focus from protecting the perimeter to securing the data. At UNLOQ, that’s what we call ATOMIC SEAL.
